Welcome all to our website

Welcome to the website of the Canadian Classic MG Club and the Canadian XK Jaguar Register in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

I am proud to be the CCMGC President for 2025. I was last President twenty nine years ago, and of course many things have changed – we had no website back then, or Zoom for Executive and Members meetings.

In 2025 the CCMGC will be celebrating the 70th anniversary of the MGA. We are also celebrating the 60th anniversary of the MGB GT, which will be coordinated by the Vice President, Mike McChesney.

I look forward to seeing you and your cars at the many driving events we have planned this year.

Jaguar President’s Message

Welcome!

It is my distinct pleasure to serve the CXKJR as its President for 2025.

I have been a car guy for as long as I can remember. My favorite toys were Hot Wheels and my favorite literature described exotic automotive creations that burned “petrol” and stored the spare “tyre” in the “boot”. I bought my first car when I was 15 and I have lost count how many I have had since then. In my heart of hearts, I was always a Jag man but, growing up poor in southern Ontario in the 1980s meant that I rarely saw a Jaguar let alone had the money to buy one.

That all changed about 20 years ago when I bought my first Jaguar, a 1976 XJ6C. I still have that car and I’ve added a bunch of others to the fleet. None of them are perfect but I love them all nonetheless. Once a Jag man, always a Jag man, I guess.

If you are thinking of joining the club, please do. We have all kinds of fun events planned for this year and there are lots of interesting characters in the club. If you are a current member, don’t be shy and please reach out if you see me at any of our events.
